Adrian and Matthias Steck will take over Ferdinand Steck Maschinenfabrik AG in its fourth generation on December 1, 2025.
Extensive renovation work will create new office space and a conference room on the upper floor.
Introduction of a new, digital data management system and expansion of IT security.
At the end of 2019, the new production hall roofs were repaired after the fire.
On the night of February 9/10, 2019, a fire destroyed a large part of our production. We thank everyone involved for their efforts.
Construction work on the additional production hall will begin in March 2014. This will house the metalworking shop with at least 6 metalworking positions. It can be put into operation as early as January 1, 2015.
In 2013, the company celebrated its 75th anniversary together with employees, customers and suppliers in the former coppersmith's shop in Langnau.

Hansruedi Steck hands over the company management to his children Hans-Rudolf, Peter and Yvonne (3rd generation).
During the recession, Hansruedi Steck built the first two diesel locomotives for the Brienz Rothorn Railway. Another followed in 1986.
Son Hansruedi Steck takes over the management. The sole proprietorship is converted into a stock corporation.
Ferdinand Steck designs and builds a flanging machine for pressing/deforming boiler bottoms.
Ferdinand Steck Jr. founded his own company “Skorpion Maschinen” and left the business.
Delivery of the 100th roller to the construction company Walo Bertschinger AG.
Birth of the children Hans-Rudolf (1960), Peter (1962) and Yvonne (1965) of the 3rd generation.
Purchase of a coppersmith's shop in Langnau (production of cheese kettles and distillation plants). In 1988 the coppersmith's shop was sold again. The current owner, the municipality of Langnau, uses it for cultural events.
In 1959, Ferdinand Steck bought land in Bowil and built the production halls, which are still in use today, with offices, a canteen and a private apartment.

Purchase of land on Brennerstrasse in 3550 Langnau i.E. and construction of a workshop and residential building.
During the war years, Ferdinand Steck builds and sells machines for cutting peat and thus earns his living in Siehen ob Eggiwil i.E. (approx. 15 employees)

On 11.04.1936, marriage to Emilie Steck-Ribi. Birth of two sons Ferdinand (1936) and Hansruedi (1937)
At the age of 23 he built his first road roller.
From 1928 to 1931, Ferdinand Steck completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic at the Emmentalbahn in Burgdorf.
Ferdinand Steck was born in Bigenthal, Canton of Bern, in 1913 and grew up with 11 siblings. His father died very early.
