Wengernalp Railway modular carrier wagon
Universally applicable 2-axle carrier wagon with mounted quick-change system for mounting a ballast trough or a loading platform for various loads. Can be extended for e.g. tipper body, crane module, catenary lifting platform, container, etc. Unladen weight with loading platform 5.8 t (with skip 7.27 t) Max. Total weight 24 t. Track width 800 mm, Riggenbach rack and pinion system, max. gradient 250 ‰.
Schafberg railway (A)
Front-mounted low-floor wagon for the Schafberg railway (SKGB) for transporting various goods. Unladen weight 5.5 t (without tipping platform, side loader), payload 11.5 t, permissible total weight 17 t. Track gauge 1000 mm, Abt rack and pinion system, max. gradient 260 ‰.
Gauge change facility in Zweisimmen (MOB)
The gauging system in Zweisimmen is a prestigious project in the field of running gear and infrastructure technology. This installation, 40 metres long and 3.4 metres wide, makes it possible to change the track from standard gauge to narrow gauge without passengers having to change trains. Our team carried out the complete mechanical production and assembly on site.
Track turner Pilatus-Bahnen AG
In addition to the unique Locher cogwheel system, the steepest cogwheel railway in the world also requires special points. Based on an existing system, Steck developed and built a new turnout (also known as a track turner), which enables the tracks to be changed reliably thanks to its switching movement. A total of three track turnouts were built for Pilatus-Bahnen AG and installed on site.
Kernfertiger dam and landfill construction WALO
Complete steel construction, mechanics and assembly of a “Kernfertiger” according to the customer’s specifications. Incl. chassis, undercarriage, asphalt and gravel bucket. Length 9 m, width 4.4 m, height 3.7 m, total weight 25 t.
